Let’s Start From the Top!

It’s me again! Hannah-the-bad-ass’s (sorry for swearing, Mom!) sister. So far, I’ve featured ethically made yoga pants, yoga mats, and yoga bags. But I realized I haven’t done any tops or bras, which is super embarrassing for all of you who started to show up to class without tops on. I’m sorry I haven’t been of help, but we should all be accountable for our own bad life choices. Check yourself.

So as a refresher, I’m interested in researching companies that make their clothing ethically. You know, the ones that don’t employ children or make people work in factories that fall down. If the clothing is made with the environment in mind? Bonus. That means that I research companies that produce in the US a lot. Though the United States isn’t free of sweatshops, they are less likely to occur here. Therefore, I like to feature clothing made at home or made overseas by companies that swear to recognize human rights.

Zella Voyage Seamless Bra ($34; USA).

I really like the bra above. The long line is nice, and it also comes in a pretty salmon color. Go look at the back, too. It’s all strappy and stuff. Onzie has some seriously cute bras. This sweetheart bra top has thick straps for more support ($44; USA). I’m majorly in love with the strappy back on the chic bra top ($48; USA). The racerback would be perfect for a hot yoga class ($42; USA).

Public Service Announcement. I do a lot of my searching for USA made products on because they’ve thought ahead and let you search their entire stock by country of origin. Here’s some gems I found on there. This Beyond Yoga Quilted Bra Top ($71; USA). This Solow Racerback ($37; USA). This Solow Snake Print Sports Bra ($71; USA).

If you are looking for something more on the come-on-yoga-isn’t-a-fashion-show-I-just-want-my-girls-to-be-held-in side of things, look no further than Patagonia. I really like their reasonably priced Barely There Bra ($45; Irbid, Jordan).

This Solow Crop Tank is my favorite ($66; USA). This Splits59 Ashby Racerback Tank is simple and cute and a necessary addition to your yoga-ing wardrobe ($45; USA). This Patagonia Fleur Tank in Orange is necessary for summer, particularly because orange makes me think of sherbet ($49; Merida, Mexico). This Michael Stars Sleeveless Muscle Tee is a cute addition to anyone’s wardrobe ($54; USA). It’s not fussy, but the color makes it stylish. The cutouts in the back of this (redundancy ahead) Cut-Out Cami from Beyond Yoga ($82; USA) is really pretty.

I’m, like, totally in love with this Hardtail Two Tone Pullover ($72; USA). Also this Hardtail Perforated Top ($78; USA)? Meow. Wrap tops look great on everyone. Yes, that means you. And you, too. Check out this Beyond Yoga Barre Scene Wrap ($84; USA). It’s a perfect cover up.

Enjoy! If you have any questions I’d be happy to answer them.
